Soudal acquires silicone manufacturing plant from Momentive Performance Materials
Soudal announces a new acquisition in the Netherlands. The producer of adhesives, sealants and PU foams, with headquarters in Belgium and 73 affiliates worldwide, takes over the Momentive silicone manufacturing plant in Bergen op Zoom.
The Momentive silicone manufacturing plant employs 32 production employees and manufactures acetoxy as well as neutral silicones for the construction industry. The site, with operational manufacturing facilities of 10.000 m², is dedicated to high quality silicone manufacturing.
The know-how and experience of the employees fits perfectly with the worldwide activities of the Soudal Group, already operating 10 sealant manufacturing sites around the world. This additional capacity will enable Soudal to boost further growth in high quality sealants.

The manufacturing operations at the Bergen op Zoom site remains unchanged and agreements are in place between Momentive and Soudal to maintain uninterrupted operations throughout the transition. Future investments are already investigated to optimize output and to ensure a smooth integration into the Soudal Group. The manufacturing plant will be the 23rd production site of Soudal worldwide.
