Soudal continues expansion of production facilities in Turnhout

Because Soudal is continuing its growth, major investments in the production facilities in Turnhout (Belgium) were announced at the end of 2014. The first stage of this investment plan for 2015, estimated at 35 million Euro, is currently in progress.

At this moment, a brand new parking lot for 250 cars has been created next to the office complex at the company’s headquarters. The area of the previous parking next the main factory halls will be used to build an additional production unit.

At Plant II, the second production site of Soudal in Turnhout, the floor space is currently being increased to allow the installation of another production line for PU Foams and to extend the warehouse facility. In the neighbouring brand new Plant III, lines will become operational for specific productions for e.g. adhesives and sealants.

These investments will allow Soudal to meet the growing demand of its customers worldwide for the production of high quality sealants, adhesives and construction foams for which the company is known. Since the inauguration of the state of the art R&D center in 2011, Soudal is able to increase its focus on specific demands from the construction industry.

Soudal wants to continue in its the path of developing durable and technologically and advanced products for industrial applications and construction. The current factory extensions are required for these technologies.

The total investments of Soudal in 2015 are estimated at 35 million euros. Currently more than 2,200 employees in 50 countries work for the Soudal Group.
